I paired them with the pink striped Valentine printable from Paperbox Press and made little Valentine treat bags for my familita.

Free stuff makes me happy.

Defeat the Xmas Blues Swap.

Recently I participated in the Defeat the Xmas Blues Swap held over at Just Putting it Out There and I thought I'd show you what I sent out.

I was lucky enough to be matched up with Micaela from Dolce Vita who, as you can tell from her blog is the coolest person ever!

For the swap, we were supposed to include:
  something for good luck,
a sweet treat,
and something we love.

1. Micaela just moved into a new house, so to bring her good luck in 2011, I decided to send her a vintage frame for her new home. Just like me, she has a love for vintage so the first place I went was this cute vintage store by my house. I'm always happy to have an excuse to go there. :)

2. For a sweet treat, I sent along some candy I got while I was in Australia. They have the BEST candy there.. Er, I mean they have the best lollies there, excuse me. :)
*Edited to add* This chocolate is actually German, they just sell it in Australia. Thanks for filling me in Carolyn!

3.  For something I love, I sent her a headband. Anyone who knows me well knows that I have quite an obsession with headbands, so I thought it was the perfect thing to send.

Paper Hearts.

Valentines day has always been one of my favorite holidays. I always get so excited when conversation hearts and Valentine cards start popping up in stores. 

This year, in lieu of the Valentines spirit going around, I decided to make some Valentines.

I only had white cardstock available hence the monochromatic color scheme.

Envelopes to match.

I used Free People and Anthropologie catalogs, so the pictures might look familiar to some of you.



My favorite is the pop-up card. It's like a burst of love! :)

And of course, I had to get a stitch in somewhere. :)
