Ok so I don't know if it's cheating to say that I made this or not, since all I had to do was basically add an elastic waist. But I really liked how it turned out so I'm posting it anyways.
My attempt was to mimic this skirt so after finding fabric in the EXACT SAME COLOR, I was pretty much pumped for life.
My only regret is that I should have made it a bit bigger but with how easy it was to make, heck I could make one in every single size if I wanted!
In other news, school is pretty much kicking my booty and I've kind of reached the point where I'm just so over it. Soo if anyone wants to take my Philosophy test for me next Monday just let me know.
:)
Have a great week everyone!

GAH! make me one, please!! I have been dying for a skirt just like that, but floor length.
ReplyDeleteWhy are you such a BABE? ;)
ReplyDeletereally though, you are stinkin adorable. And the skirt is GORGEOUS! I need to learn how to sew asap.
also: I am now following you on pinterest. no big deal. ;)
That skirt is lovely, the colour is lush!

ReplyDeleteTHis is so cute! Before I even read what you had written about it, I thought, "I've seen this skirt on Pinterest! I lovee this skirt!" Haha. Pinning is far too addicting. Awesome job!
ReplyDeleteI totally accept that adding an elastic waist to a pre-existing skirt can be counted as "making" a new skirt. :D Last week I shortened a super-long skirt and added layers to it to make it poofier (is that a word? spell check is telling me not...) and I felt like I had made a whole new piece of clothing, too. Twas very fun. :)

ReplyDeleteHaylee, it's like an exact EXACT replica!!! well done, good show and a big pat on the cyber back lades : ) i love it, from the pretty color to the d-vine waist band...it's awesome!! was this skirt from Club Monaco's collection, i didn't see the original link on your pinterest page but it looks a lot like theirs.
ReplyDeletehmmm, school work sounds increasingly heavy in its load ups. much luck on the philosophy test, think i'll have to pass on the fill in thing. i'm so out of practice i'd probz mess it up for you anyways ; )
