I made a dress for my Senior Ball last night.
I designed and drafted the pattern so this dress was quite a project.

(It's the sketch on the far right P.S.)
I really like how it turned out though, despite the lace being really hard to work with at times.
For those who were wondering, this is the lace I was pumped to find in
New York last month.
Ya pretty sure I need to marry a pilot or something, so he can fly me there whenever I need new fabric.
Me and my cute date.
Senior Ball was a total blast by the way. Josh may just be my favorite person ever. He was seriously so fun to go with and was
such a gentlemen the entire night. Pretty sure I didn't touch a door handle once.

The group I was in was also really fun. None of you will probably ever read this but in the case that you do, you all rock!
(Yes I'm talking to you Marshall and Tayler.)
Thanks Josh for such a wonderfully incredible night!
Oh my gosh, you are so cute I can't even handle it! Your dress is absolutely gorgeous, too :)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness. You are so divine! Thank-you for commenting on my blog and leading me here :) You have a wonderful blog, i'm going to check it out some more.

Gorgeous dress, and congrats on drafting the pattern yourself - it looks so well made! I completely understand why you would be pumped to find that lace :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you had such a great time! & your dress is so beautiful.. I love it!
ReplyDeleteYou look beautiful!! Love the dress - it's stunning.
ReplyDeleteI adore that dress! I think lace makes everything so feminine. I also love the gold zipper up the back!
ReplyDeletewell will you just look at this?! how totally gorgeous you are Haylee, i absolutely love the dress you made and the way you styled your hair!!!! tremendous and stunning; the back detailing is darling. but girl, the marrying a pilot thing is questionable, i want you to have the best guy in all the land and my bro is a pilot so i can only speak of stories he's told me and they can be playa's sometimes ; )
ReplyDeleteif you go for the silver bird flyers then okay but he better be a winner and not the Charlie Sheen kind either. baha! just looking out for you love, that's my 2 cents of the day.
but now onto more swoons over this amazing night - Josh is such a cutie and has the debonair thing goin' on too. everyone looks beautiful, wish i could have been a fly on the wall and watched the fun first hand. thanks for sharing and have a great new week!!!! ♥
I love your dress! The lace is beautiful! :) You are gorgeous! :) <3 Sounds like you had a great time!
ReplyDeleteAre you kidding me!?! You made that? I LOVE the lace, and yes, wouldn't that be great to go to NYC every time you needed new fabric?

The dress & your hair are divine! I can only imagine the time/energy it took to get this dress to look this amazing!!! I've been eying dresses with the mesh/lace top that is see thru like this. Adore them!!! Love this. Great job Haylee!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the dress - especially the lace material! I'm seriously jealous...it's been a goal of mine lately to relearn how to sew, but I haven't actually gotten around to doing that... :p
