Remember when I designed this?

Photobucket

Well, I made it!

Photobucket

A lovely reader, Sarah asked me if I'd be interested in making it for her and of course I said yes.
I based the dress off of this pattern but drafted ruched sleeves, raised the scooped neckline and changed the design of the tie.
The fabric I found isn't exactly the color I was hoping for but I'm trying to not let my perfectionist tendencies get the better of me. :)

I hope you like it Sarah!

  3. You did a great job! I think its easy to find faults in the stuff we make. I know I find a ton and almost redo then someone says how great it looks and I know they mean it, so try not to be too hard on yourself! It looks GrrrEAT!

  6. That dress is darling. You should post a picture of the back; does the back have a v-neckline? I actually think the color is great, perfect for the summer.

  9. Thank you so much everyone! You are all waay too nice to me.
SLC, I was thinking about posting a picture of the back but decided not to because it basically looks exactly like the front, except for the zipper. I ended up just doing a rounded neckline so that's why I didn't include a pic. :)
Thanks again for your sweet comment!
